The difference between ordinary and extraordinary--is that something extra.
The holiday season is one of my favorites in Vermont because you can behold the generosity of so many people. It is in the true spirit of giving, that true blessings of life come back to us in so many ways.
I would like to share with you a recipe I learned from an old family friend that I love preparing and serving every year during the holidays. Enjoy!
BUCKEYES
1 stick margarine melted
1 lb confectioners' sugar
2 c. peanut butter
3 c. Rice Krispies
6 oz. chocolate chips
1/4 stick paraffin
Mix together the melted margarine,
confectioners’ sugar, and peanut butter then
add the Rice Krispies. Form 3/4” balls. 42 +/.
Melt the chocolate chips and paraffin together.
Dip balls into the chocolate then place on wax
paper to cool.

Beginning December 3rd Catamount Family Center, a Vermont treasure, re-opens for you to go and select the Christmas tree of your choice. The horse-drawn ride out to get the tree and back makes this a wonderful memory. While you’re there, check out their cross country trails—they’re fantastic!
