The Spring real estate market is off to a great start, and Maple Sugaring season is finally near. There are many buyers out looking at homes, both local and relocating. The Vermont Economy Newsletter indicates that mortgage rates are nearly unchanged from 2003 levels, despite most economists’ predictions early last year that interest rates would rise. VEN also notes that although the median home price increased 10.3% for last year it has slowed from the 2003 pace of 13.3% which may represent the beginning of a slowdown in our housing market.

continue their education after high school, by awarding two $1,500 scholarships for
the 2005-2006 school year.
Students who may not receive scholarships based on skills or academics, but
show a strong desire to succeed are highly encouraged to apply.
