The difference between ordinary and extraordinary--is that something extra.
Vermont is described by the Conservation Law Foundation as an endangered species needing protection. Many outsiders call Vermont a country club. What they are all trying to say is that we have the luxury to live in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
As my daughter said last Sunday, Vermont smells “The Best” in the Spring.
Our Vermont per capita income has reached the national average. According to Art Wolf of the Vermont Economic Newsletter, this has only happened two other times in 1930 and 1989. Our robust economy continues to drive and compliment the real estate market. On April 12th, there were only 186 single family homes available in Chittenden County with an average sales price of $332,290. The first quarter of 2005 shows our market continuing to grow. The number of deposits and closings are slightly under the same time period in 2004. I believe the market has caught up and passed 2004 with the late March and April push as the snow melted.
Here at The Jenkins Team, we have closed and placed under deposit over 105 properties through mid April. We have set an aggressive goal of 315 homes for 2005 and we are well on our way.
